CaraMia Bacchiochi started at CAPE in July of 2018 as a Recovery Coach. In her position, she provides recovery services to communities in Eastern Dutchess County and the Northwest Corner of Connecticut. Her goal is to establish an awareness of our Recovery Coach services in her communities of interest and to provide these services to any individuals in need.
CaraMia was born in Manhattan and raised in Sharon, CT. She has been a resident of Poughkeepsie since 1986. She earned an Associate’s Degree from Dutchess Community College. CaraMia also has certificates in Recovery Coaching, Ethics, Science of Addiction & Recovery, and Our Stories Have Power/TOT. Her previous professional experience includes street ministry, when she founded a non-profit organization called Hope On A Mission. With the help of many generous volunteers, HOAM works toward their mission to restore dignity to homeless, addicted women in our local community.
CaraMia’s goal in life is to lead by example in her personal journey of recovery. For that reason, it was a dream come true to have an opportunity at CAPE to help others find their own path to recovery and wellness. She celebrated 6 years of sobriety in January of 2019. She follows a faith-based program of recovery, and loves being a ministry leader. She is grateful to have a beautiful family, including 3 children, a daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren, and 2 dogs. Leisure time is spent riding on her black Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
